Under the aegis of Grameen Sneh Foundation, the initiative Bihar ;Ek Virasat was started to promote the rich culture, tradition and heritage of Bihar whilst also encouraging cultural exchanges with different regions, states and countries. Bihar; Ek Virasat website is an online library of all the collective information about Bihar. It contains a huge database of Bihar’s ancient History ,Folk Song and Dance, Language,Heritage Places, Fair & Festivals ,Food, Costumes, Legendary persons  etc and also a section of online books on Bihar by eminent writers. 

Every Year Grameen Sneh Foundation is organizing Bihar Ek Virasat Essay painting,Folk Dance competition throughout the year in 9 commissionaires of Bihar for the last 5 years. The theme of Bihar Ek Virasat Essay Painting & Folk dance competition is to promote and spread awareness about the rich historical and cultural heritage of Bihar amongst children & women.
Apart from this GSF has also organized Bihar ; Ek Virasat Kala & Film Mahotsav -2016 in the year 2016 with the objective to promote the cultural heritage of Bihar and regional & Hindi film promotion .In this festival more than 2000 people from film fraternity ,colleges ,institutions representative from Government ,NGO, Art and culture etc. participated in this Mahotsav. On this auspicious day Shri Iqbal Ahmed Ansari, Hon’ble Chief Justice of Patna High Court; Shri Shivchandra Ram, Hon’ble Minister ,Art ,Culture & Youth affairs ,Govt of Bihar; Shri Shatrughan Sinha,Honb’leMP; Shri Pawan Varma, Honb’le MP; Shri Ketan Mehta; Shri Manoj Bajpayee ; Shri Chandra Prakash Dwivedi ; Shri  Pankaj Tripathi; Shri Akhilendra Mishra and many more have participated and made the programme successful and visible .Apart from above ,several senior bureaucrat of Bihar such as ShriShishirSinha, Development Commissioner ;Govt of Bihar; ShriBrajeshMehrotra, Prinicipal Secretary ; Shri Tripurari Sharan, Prinicipal Secretary;  Shri Chanchal  Kumar ,Secretary to Hon’ble CM ,Bihar etc. also graced the occasion.

In the year 2017, Bihar found a new voice, steeped in truth, with Bodhisattva International Film Festival (BIFF , 2nd edition of Bihar; Ek Virasat Kala & Film Mahotsav) . The first of its kind film festival, BIFF was organised as an initiative to promote the rich culture, tradition and heritage of Bihar whilst also encouraging cultural exchanges with different regions, states and country. More than 50000 people from film fraternity ,colleges, institutions ,representative from Government ,NFDC, SatyajeetRai Film Institute ,Kolkata ; FTII ,Pune; DFF ,Govt of India; NGO ,Art & culture etc. On this auspicious day H.E. Shri Ram Nath Kovind, Hon’ble Governor of Bihar (current President of India), Shri Shivchandra Ram, Hon’ble Minister, Art, Culture and Youth Affairs, Govt of Bihar; Shri Govind Nihlani; Shri Chandra Prakash Dwivedi; Ms. Shilpa Shukla; Shri Akhilendra Mishra; Shri Vineet Kumar; Shri Pravin Kumar; has participated and made this programme successful and visible. Apart from above, several senior bureaucrat of Bihar such as Shri Tripurari Sharan, Principal Secretary; Shri Chanchal Kumar, Secretary to Hon’ble CM, Bihar etc also graced the occasion.

In the year 2018, GSF has organised Bihar; Ek VIrasat Kala & Film Mahotsav, where more than 50,000 people from film fraternity, colleges, institutions, representative from Government, NGO, art and culture, etc. has participated in this Mahotsav. On this auspicious day several eminent guest such as Padmashree Kailash Kher and many more has participated and made this programme successful and visible. Apart from above, several senior bureaucrat of Bihar such as Shri Sunil Kumar, CMD cum DG, Police; Shri Chanchal Kumar, Pr. Secretary to Hon’ble CM, Bihar etc also graced the occasion

In the year 2019, GSF has organised Bihar; EkVIrasat Kala & Film Mahotsav, where more than 20,000 people from film fraternity, colleges, institutions, representative from Government, NGO, art and culture, etc. has participated in this Mahotsav. On this auspicious day several eminent guest such as Padma Vibhushan Dr.Sonal Mansingh; Shri Irshad Kamil and many more has participated and made this programme successful and visible. Apart from above, several senior bureaucrat of Bihar such as Shri Chanchal Kumar, Pr. Secretary to Hon’ble CM, Bihar etc also graced the occasion.

Bihar; Ek Virasat is an activity of Grameen Sneh Foundation which is dedicated to spread awareness about Bihar and its rich historic and cultural heritage to the general masses. The past glory of Bihar envisages beautiful sculptures, temples, mosques, fort, intangible assets and many more. Bihar does not just have more than 500 monuments like forts, mosques, temples etc., which are more than 100-2000 years old, but we also have a glorious history that should be known to everybody. Bodhgaya, Nalanda, Vaishali and Mithila Paintings is all that comes to mind when spoken of Bihar, but there are more than 100 other such historical places that exist in our state that have a great importance in the foundation of our State. A variety more than 300 different exquisite dishes exhibit the beauty of our custom and traditions. Hence, it is our mandate to show the world, the legacy of our Virasat. Bihar; Ek Virasat exhibits cultural heritage of Bihar, which is being promoted at district, state, central and international level.
